Founded in 1981, our institution quickly established itself as a leading platform for contemporary art, focusing on photography and media-based works. It became a hub for innovative exhibitions and public programming.

In 2017, the gallery moved to a purpose-built facility on the North Vancouver waterfront and rebranded itself. The state-of-the-art building, designed by Patkau Architects, spans 25,000 square feet and marked a new era of cultural engagement.
